I have just completed an 8 week treatment course with a UVB unit provided by Anytime Sunbeds and wanted to post this review straight away as I could not be happier with the results.

Psoriasis has been with me in some form for many years and has effected my life in many ways. I love fashion but often have to be conservative in what I wear due to my condition which can be very frustrating and upsetting. I have psoriasis mainly on my arms, legs and body but thankfully not on my face or head. I have tried numerous creams and changed my diet with little success long term. A few years ago I had a UVB course through the NHS which was very effective and cleared up my psoriasis. However, the process was long, very drawn out and the thought of going through it again filled me with dread.

With this in mind I decided to see if there was any other option and after a quick search on the Internet I came across Anytime Sunbeds UVB home units. I must admit, I was very apprehensive about home treatment but after researching the company, reading the case studies and customer reviews on the website, I decided to take the plunge and booked a unit.

I started my treatment within 3 days of calling Anytime Sunbeds and Paul who delivered the unit was fantastic. I think he could see I was nervous and chatted with me for about 15 minutes to calm my nerves. He was very informative and talked me through the process.

Even though I have had light treatment before it was good to hear Paul going over information I had been given through the hospital. If there is any advice I can offer to people who have not had light treatment before and are considering home treatment, is to proceed with caution, listen to the advice given and stick to the time guidelines provided by Paul and the treatment guide provided.

The unit is very easy to use and I started my treatment at the lowest time, 10 seconds; building up 10 seconds each treatment. 10 seconds might not seem a lot but for anyone who hasn’t had UVB before, this is standard as the bulbs are extremely strong. As I said, it is best to proceed with caution as there is no need to rush. Rushing will only result in burning which ultimately will hold up your treatment.

Using the unit 3 times a week (Mon / Wed / Fri ), I built up my treatment time to 2 minutes before I found my limit. I found any more than 2 minutes I started to burn. My legs were the most stubborn and took longer than other parts of my body but I was informed before I started this might be the case. I was also informed at the start of the process to start a routine and stick to it, making sure you do the same thing for every treatment. This was good advice and I would recommend other people follow. Mine was a treatment 7pm / record time achieved / shower and moisturise.

The results were fantastic and as far as I am concerned the same as achieved through my hospital treatment and without all the stress or disruption to my life. Looking back I don’t know what I was ever worried about and would recommend this company to anyone considering home treatment.

One final thank you is to Paul who contacted me on several occasions throughout the process to enquire if everything was OK and to offer advice. Thank you again and I will definitely be calling you again in the future.
